Kimberley Harper BMus (Hons)
After graduating from the University of Aberdeen with a Bachelor of Music with Honours in Community Music, Kimberley settled back in Edinburgh, where she began building her practice as a Freelance Community Musician.
She has done a lot of work with young people over the years in several roles, such as a Youth Music Initiative (YMI) tutor working in Edinburgh primary schools, a music leader for an after-school club and a Freelance Music Practitioner for The Amber Trust.
Kimberley is passionate about learning new ways of using music to connect with everyone and continues to regularly develop her practice in Early Years Music through attending conferences and training programmes.
Some interesting things about Kimberley:
- Her favourite thing to do to relax is exercisew whether that is running or going for a hike.
- A fun fact about her is that she has Heterochromia. In other words, she has two different coloured eyes like the singer David Bowie!
- Her go-to comfort-binge TV show is anything crime related or Friends
- One of her life goals is to get to the top of Ben Nevis
